Medawar offers an optional, fully managed, end-to-end concierge solution for international donor–recipient pairs traveling to Los Angeles to undergo the UCLA stem-cell tolerance protocol in conjunction with transplantation. This protocol requires a multi-phase stay involving a 3-day evaluation, a donor's 1-week procedure stay, and a recipient's extended 3-month recovery period.

Medawar's mission is to eliminate all non-medical burdens so patients can focus exclusively on treatment and recovery.

Hotel or luxury residence arrangements for all phases: evaluation, procedure week, and extended recovery.
Ground transportation: airport transfers, daily hospital visits, errands, and optional 24/7 private vehicle.
24/7 on-call Medawar concierge support for logistical, lifestyle, and emergency needs.
Personal liaison who helps patients navigate UCLA appointments, provides language support, and ensures donors and recipients get to and from all hospital visits, procedures, investigations and imaging studies.
Post-stay record consolidation, discharge coordination, and return travel management with repatriation.

Pricing Model

Medawar uses a hybrid pricing model to ensure cost transparency and protect clients from price volatility:

The up-front, fixed Service Fee covers planning, coordination, and concierge support.

All travel, lodging, transport, and third-party services billed at actual cost with no markup.

Expense Deposits are required to reserve flights, lodging, transportation, and third-party services. Deposits are drawn down as bookings occur, and clients are notified when additional top-ups are needed.

A refundable Contingency Deposit covers variations in hotel or airfare pricing, extended stays, or last-minute changes.

Full refund of any unused deposit or contingency at the end of the client's stay.
